摘要：We develop a model featuring heterogeneous workers and firms, where firms operate as hierarchies of differentiated positions. Labor markets clear via a one-to-many sorting mechanism, with firms deciding both the worker number of each position and the worker types assigned to those positions. This process shapes (1) the within-firm structure of positions, (2) the wage distribution among workers, and (3) the productivity distribution across firms. We study business cycles in the presence of a market efficiency shock, which disproportionately affects better firms. The model aligns with recent empirical findings on the cyclical behavior of wage and productivity distributions.

汤皓州，东北财经大学高等经济研究院副教授。于西班牙庞培法布拉大学获得经济学博士学位。曾在墨西哥央行担任研究员。主要研究宏观经济理论与金融市场，在Journal of Monetary Economics上发表论文。
