摘要：This paper studies the mechanisms and the extent to which parental wage risk passes through to children's skill development. Through a quantitative dynamic labor supply model in which two parents choose whether to work short or long hours or not work at all, time spent with children, and child-related expenditures, we find that income risk impacts skill accumulation, permanently lowering children's skill levels. To the extent that making up for cognitive skill losses during childhood is hard---as available evidence suggests---uninsurable income risk can negatively impact the labor market prospects of future generations.

主讲人简介：仇心诚，北京大学光华管理学院助理教授，2023年博士毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学，本科、硕士均毕业于北京大学。他的研究领域包括宏观经济学、劳动经济学、企业动态等。他的研究成果已发表在宏观经济学领域国际顶尖期刊Journal of Monetary Economics 和 Journal of Political Economy Macroeconomics，并有两项研究收到了经济学五大顶刊之一Review of Economic Studies的修订邀请。他连续两次获得中国宏观经济国际年会的最佳青年学者论文奖，获得中国留美经济学会的学术新星奖、邹至庄最佳论文奖，宾夕法尼亚大学的最佳博士论文奖、院长学者荣誉等。
