Call for papers
About the Conference
The 5th International Symposium on Regional Integration and Financial Development will be held in Liaoning University (LNU) on June 15th (Saturday), 2024. Since 2020, the conference has been successfully held for four sessions. The current conference is once again organized by Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research (LIER) at Liaoning University, co-organized by School of Economics and School of International Economics and International Relations. The conference will invite well-known experts, young scholars, and editors of core journals from both domestic and international arenas for paper evaluations. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of the "Digital Economy and Sustainable Development" journal, and discussions are anticipated with active participation from global economists.
Building on the solid foundation established by previous conferences, starting from this session, the focus of the conference will expand from the Northeast Asia region to the entire Asia-Pacific region and even globally. The 5th International Symposium on Regional Integration and Financial Development aims to facilitate high-quality research by scholars from various countries on regional integration and financial development in not only the Northeast Asia region but also the entire Asia-Pacific region. The conference seeks to enhance communication and collaboration among domestic and international scholars in related research fields.
Research topics
We welcome both theoretical and empirical research papers related but not limited to the following topics:
· Regional integration in Northeast Asia or the entire Asia-Pacific region
·Regional sustainable development
·New models of digital economy and financial development
·The impact of digital economy and financial development on regional integration
·The impact of digital economy and financial development on regional sustainable development
Time
Tentative date is June 15th. Location is 1st floor of WuZhouYuan at Chongshan Campus of Liaoning university. Updates will be released on the official WeChat account and the official website of Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research https://lier.lnu.edu.cn/.
Paper Review
This conference only accepts papers in English, and about 20 papers are selected according to the topic classification (the final submission is determined according to the number of contributions) for presentation. The final list of selected papers will be available by June 1st,2024.
There is no registration fee. We will provide meals for all presenters. Participants should be responsible for their transportation and accommodation expenses. Welcome to contribute to and participate in the workshop.
Submission
Please submit the full paper to desd@lnu.edu.cn before May 24th, 2024 (CST - China Standard Time). In your email, please use “The 5th International Symposium on Regional Integration and Financial Development in Northeast Asia at LNU-LIER +presenter name” as the title, and please indicate whether you could attend the conference in person upon acceptance. The attached manuscript document should be named by “presenter name + the title of your paper”. In the first page of manuscript, please list all the authors and the contacting information (name, working place, duty and professional title, phone number, e-mail and so on). All manuscripts must be in English, original, and must not be previously published.
The follow-up of workshop and the list of accepted papers to Digital Economy and Sustainable Development will be available online.

第五届东北亚区域合作发展和金融创新国际学术会议征文通知
第五届东北亚区域合作发展和金融创新国际学术会议将于6月15日在辽宁大学举办，诚邀广大经济学者投稿。自2020年以来，会议已经成功举办4届，本届会议继续由李安民经济研究院主办，经济学院和国际经济政治学院协办。会议将邀请国内外知名专家、中青年学者、核心期刊编辑进行论文点评，并将在《Digital Economy and Sustainable Development》杂志出版特刊，进行论文点评，期待全球经济学者积极参与讨论。
随着前几届会议打下的良好基础，从本届会议开始，会议将研究的焦点从东北亚地区拓展至整个亚太地区乃至全球范围。第五届“东北亚区域合作发展和金融创新”国际学术会议旨在为促进各国学者关于东北亚地区乃至整个亚太地区的高质量区域合作发展和金融创新的研究，增强国内外学者在相关研究领域的交流与合作。
一、征稿范围
征稿主题包括但不限于：
1、东北亚地区或者亚太地区的区域合作
2、区域可持续发展
3、数字经济及金融创新的新模式
4、数字经济及金融创新对区域合作的影响
5、数字经济及金融创新对区域可持续发展的影响
二、会议时间和地点
拟定6月15日在辽宁大学五洲园一楼举办。请密切关注辽宁大学李安民经济研究院的公众号和网站通知 https://lier.lnu.edu.cn/。
三、论文评审
本会议仅接受英文投稿，根据主题分类挑选20篇左右论文（最终根据投稿量确定）进行交流。最终入选论文名单将于2024年6月1日前公布。
本次会议不收取注册费，承办方提供正式参会人员的用餐，交通和住宿费用自理，欢迎大家踊跃投稿并积极参会。

请于2024年5月24日前将投稿文章发送至desd@lnu.edu.cn。邮件主题请注明“第五届‘东北亚区域合作发展和金融创新’国际学术会议投稿+姓名”，并请在文章首页注明作者信息，包括作者姓名、单位、职称职务、联系电话、电子邮件等。稿件需为PDF或Word文档格式的原创作品，且尚未在正式刊物发表。
后续会议组织及《Digital Economy and Sustainable Development》选稿等事宜，将在辽宁大学李安民经济研究院的公众号和网站上及时公布。
