第九届香樟经济学英文论坛将于2023年9月23日在辽宁大学举办，诚邀广大经济学者投稿。本届Seminar由辽宁大学李安民经济研究院主办，香樟经济学术圈和《Digital Economy and Sustainable Development（DESD，数字经济和可持续发展）》以及《China Economic Journal》期刊编辑部协办。本次论坛将邀请国内外知名中青年学者、核心期刊编辑进行论文点评，并将在《Digital Economy and Sustainable Development》和《China Economic Journal》杂志出版特刊。论坛还将评选出1-3篇最佳会议论文，授予最佳会议论文奖。期待全国各地经济学者积极参与讨论。
随着以数据资源为关键要素的新一轮科技革命和产业变革的到来，数字经济已是继农业经济、工业经济之后的主要经济形态。数字经济正推动生产方式、生活方式和治理方式深刻变革，成为重组全球要素资源、重塑全球经济结构、改变全球竞争格局的关键力量。与此同时，创新绿色、可持续的包容性增长和高质量发展也成为全球经济发展的主旋律。两者交融随之带来的许多新问题都亟待深入研究。基于上述背景，本次会议的主题为“数字经济和可持续发展”，旨在为学术界和从业者，打造一个关于数字经济及高质量发展领域的领先的交流平台，帮助读者拓宽和加深对数字经济在高质量发展中的应用、政策和实践的理解。

2023年9月23日在辽宁大学崇山校区举办。届时，会议将同步开放线上直播。请密切关注辽宁大学李安民经济研究院的公众号和网站获取最新通知。
三、论文评审
本会议仅接受英文投稿，根据主题分类挑选30篇左右论文（最终根据投稿量确定）进行交流。最终入选论文名单将于2023年9月15日前公布。
本次会议不收取注册费，承办方提供正式参会人员的用餐，交通和住宿费用自理，欢迎大家踊跃投稿并积极参会。

请于2023年9月1日前将投稿文章发送至desd@lnu.edu.cn。邮件主题请注明“第九届香樟经济学英文论坛投稿+姓名”，并请在文章首页注明作者信息，包括作者姓名、单位、职称职务、联系电话、电子邮件等。稿件需为PDF或Word文档格式的原创作品，且尚未在正式刊物发表。
后续会议组织及《Digital Economy and Sustainable Development》和《China Economic Journal》选稿等事宜，将在辽宁大学李安民经济研究院的公众号和网站上及时公布。

Call for Papers
About the Workshop
The 9th Camphor Economist Circle (CEC) English Workshop will be held in in Liaoning University (LNU) on September 23th (Saturday), 2023, hosted by Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research (LIER) at Liaoning University, Camphor Economist Circle, Digital Economy and Sustainable Development, and China Economic Journal. The conference will invite well-known experts at home and abroad, young and middle-aged scholars, and editors of core journals to comment on your papers, and publish a special issue on Digital Economy and Sustainable Development journal and China Economic Journal. In addition, 1-3 papers will be granted the best paper award by the conference committee. We hope economists from all over the country can actively participate in the discussion.
As data resources become the key economic element in the new era of technological and industrial transformation, our world gradually moves from an agricultural and industrial economy to a digital economy. It drives profound changes in production, consumption, and governance, which further redistributes resources across the world, reshapes economic structures, and changes the pattern of global competition. Meanwhile, green, sustainable, inclusive growth, and high-quality development also become the common goals of nation development. Many new research and practical questions are brought up when the two fields interact. Thus, the theme of this year is "Digital Economy and Sustainable Development". We hope it will create a leading communication platform for academia and practitioners on digital economy and high-quality development, and help readers broaden and deepen their understanding of the role played by digital economy in the applications, policies, and practices in high-quality development.
Research topics
We welcome both theoretical and empirical research papers related but not limited to the following topics:
1. Topics related to digital economy
2. Sustainable development
3. Machine learning and economics
Time
The conference will be held on September 23 at Chongshan campus of Liaoning University. Online participation is also available. More detailed information will be released on the official WeChat account or website of Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research website.
Paper Review
This workshop only accepts papers in English, and about 30 papers will be selected according to the topic classification (the number selected may be adjusted according to the number of submissions). The final list of selected papers will be published by September 15,2023.
There is no registration fee. We provide meals for all presenters, and the participants are responsible for their transportation and accommodation expenses. We welcome you to contribute and participate the workshop.
Submission
Please submit the full paper to desd@lnu.edu.cn before 1 September, 2023 (CST - China Standard Time). In your email, please use “The CEC Workshop at LNU-LIER+presenter name” as the title, and please indicate whether you could participate the workshop in person upon acceptance. The attached manuscript document should be named by “presenter name + the title of your paper”. In the first page of manuscript, please list all the authors and the contacting information (name, working place, duty and professional title, phone number, e-mail and so on). All manuscripts must be in English, original, and must not be previously published.
The follow-up workshop organization and the selection of Digital Economy and Sustainable Development and China Economic Journal will be published on the WeChat account and website of Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research.
